Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH announced that Puzzle Chronicles is going to be released for Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable on 18th February, followed by download editions for the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 Home Gaming Consoles.
Puzzle Chronicles is developed by the respected puzzle-game creators Infinite Interactive. The game combines color-matching puzzles and role-playing elements, giving players the ability to upgrade their characters, while beating various puzzle challenges and defeating enemy forces blocking their way during the journey.
Colored gems dropping into the split-screen, where on the one side is the player, and on the other is the challenger. When the colors of the gems are matched, they disappear, sending spells and physical attacks to the opponent or just unlocking items for use in the future. Each antagonist has more specific skills and combat attributes, forcing the player to vary their play accordingly. The stage ends when one of the opposing player's energy is depleted. The victorious player is rewarded with experience points and key skills, which can be used to enhance their characters with new weapons and equipment in order to take on bigger enemies and raise pets to help fight against them. Tips and Hints on the locations of treasures and unique powerful items can also be found by defeating those key foes. Puzzle Chronicles adds series and series of sub-levels and extra side quests for the player to experience. Dungeons and Special Magic Items are waiting to be explored and collected.
Puzzle Chronicles will be released on the Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable on 18th February, followed by Downloadable Content Versions for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Gaming Consoles.
