Leading publisher of video games, Electronic Arts, announced that the upcoming military first-person shooter entitled Medal of Honor is now looking for players for the massive global multiplayer beta test that will start on the 21st of June. Players who bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and pre-order Medal of Honor in the next few days will be able to enter the global multiplayer beta test 3 days earlier, on the 17th of June.
The Medal of Honor multiplayer is developed by DICE and delivers an amazing fast-paced, world-class action with the support of dedicated servers.
Executive Producer on Medal of Honor, Greg Goodrich, said that in selecting a studio to create their multiplayer, there was no clearer choice than DICE, and that when it comes to online gameplay, they are world class. He also stated that they are excited to be partnering with DICE to deliver a single/multiplayer experience that perfectly complement one another, and that though the modes and maps are different, both sides of the game carry through the same authentic sentiment of today's soldiers who are fighting today's war.
The Medal of Honor multiplayer beta will feature two maps that are inspired by real locations named Helmand Valley and Kabul City Ruins. The beta will also feature two game modes, which are Team Assault mode and Combat Mission. Team Assault mode will offer fast-paced action that will rely on the skill and map knowledge of the player. Combat Mission will offer team-based strategy in a fight through a series of objectives revealed through an engaging narrative. Both modes will consist of 24 players in total (12 players in each team).
EA LA is separately developing Medal of Honor's single-player game mode while working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the U.S> Special Operations Community, in order to create the most authentic modern warfare experience possible.
