TQ Digital, a Chinese-based online games developer, confirmed that the closed-beta for the turn-based fantasy-themed Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game titled Heroes of Might and Magic Online will start in early May 2010.
Heroes of Might and Magic Online is developed by the established online games developer based in China called TQ Digital, and licensed by Ubisoft. The game brings all the classic game play elements from a previous title of the franchise, Heroes of Might and Magic III. Heroes of Might and Magic Online features the stunning graphics of Heroes of Might and Magic V, turned into a 2.5D turn-based Massively Multiplayer version worthy of its place to be established in the Heroes of Might and Magic dynasty.
Chose from a variety of eight unique factions with two additions – Conflux and Empire, still in development by TQ Digital - develop elaborate castles that dominate the skyline of bustling metropolis, Harmondale – epicenter of trade in the sweeping Antagarichean continent - plunder resources in exhilarating missions and fortify your armies against the inevitable wars of domination that lie ahead as you carve out your own legacy like the legions of plucky adventurers before you.
The activity within Heroes of Might and Magic Online takes place in a 'mouth-watering' and gorgeous 2.5 dimensional fantasy world with combat maps which are randomly generated and have been designed with strategic game play in mind. Players will be encouraged to think carefully and studiously about unit formations and tactics, although every faction has their own spheres of influence with the neutral zones up for grabs.
Heroes of Might and Magic Online will be different from other Massively Multiplayer Online Games because of its hundreds of unique campaigns, each with amazing storylines and goals. This includes ten chapters of battlefield missions, all of which are guaranteed to keep the game play refreshing.
Players will have the ability to quell a rebellion, visit ancient ruins or slay a heinous dragon. All of this can be done either solo or with friends to unlock treasure boxes which will spill over mysterious goodies. Players will be also able to form guilds, gather resources, and prove their valiant leadership in the blood-thirsty Challenging Arena.
The Chinese-Based Online Games Developer, TQ Digital, will host a few PK events like Team PK and Extreme PK, but these are only the tip of the iceberg. The PK events will provide invaluable opportunities to gain priceless honor points and increase the reputation of the faction.
Heroes of Might and Magic Online will feature a unique Town Prestige System, which will give the ability to develop towns of different races. Players will be able to expand outside the borders of the trade capital, Hormondale with the official paperwork and corresponding reputation level and faction. Every single castle can provide a steady amount of resource, but they are also open to attack and buyouts from the rivals.
Players will experience the magic based on an innovative in game star system. They will be able to cast a new spell to increase their proficiency or perfect spells through a dynamic online training center.
The Heroes of Might and Magic Online game features in summary: First Persistent World Turn-Based Strategy Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game; eight towns, sixteen classes and fifty six creatures; Hundreds of campaigns with epic storylines for each one of them; Unique Anima and Dragon Scale Forge System; Glorious Guild Buildings and Exciting Guild Battles; Challenging Arena and PK tournaments; Heroes can build towns o different factions.
