Treyarch Announced Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops Announced By TreyarchThe name of the new upcoming Call of Duty game by Treyarch is "Call of Duty: Black Ops". Call of Duty: Black Ops is expected to release on 9th of November 2010, as stated on the official site callofduty.com/blackops.

A developer blog post stated that Treyarch are very excited to reveal their latest development, which is Call of Duty: Black Ops, and that more details are going to be unfolded in the future at callofduty.com/blackops.

Activision has stated earlier that Treyarch will be developing a new title in the Call of Duty franchise this year, while Infinity Ward works on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Sledgehammer Games is a studio which was formed last November by ex-Visceral studio head Glen Schofield and the executive producer of Dead Space, Michael Condrey. Sledgehammer Games is also in development of a Call of Duty game that Activision has explained that it will extend the franchise into the action-adventure genre.

The head of Treyarch studio, Mark Lamia, explained that they can't wait for their community to experience Call of Duty: Black Ops, and that they have focused their entire studio on this upcoming game, with dedicated multiplayer, single player cooperative teams creating the most intense, gripping and riveting experience possible for their fans on all fronts.
