The trade association that is representing the United Kingdom Games Industry, TIGA, announced today that Kempt is its newest member.
Specialized in the conception, production and promotion of Advergames, Kempt is a flash games developer and a leading agency in this rapidly growing form of brand communications.
Kempt are also the people behind some of the biggest Advergame campaigns ever to be released including kingofdefenders.com, which has received 70 million visits worldwide.
The developers at Kempt also run two large game portals which are Tinymania.com and KillerViral.com in addition to developing flash games. The company also developed a monitoring system that has become the industry standard for tracking advergame campaigns, memecounter.com.
While the Company founder Chris Kempt explains the reasons for joining TIGA, he said that he have been highly impressed by TIGA's work with NESTA on the 'Playing The Game' mentoring program. He explained that there are a lot of super talented and extremely creative web development teams in the United Kingdom, but in the main they are quite small and it is extremely hard to grow to the next level. Chris Kempt explained how this program provided much needed support for younger businesses and real practical advice to help them achieve commercial growth. Kempt said that they are also very supportive of TIGA's work in instigating the first All Party Parliamentary Group for the videogames industry and in raising the profile of the United Kingdom video games industry in general.
CEO at TIGA, Richard Wilson, added an explanation in which he stated that Kempt is one of the most successful and highly regarded advergames developers in the United Kingdom. He also explained that the company is a great example of a small, extremely talented group of people who were able to spot a genuine opportunity in the market and help to define a new genre in advertising for commercial companies. Richard Wilson also said that they hope their expertise will be very useful to other TIGA members.
