MDK2 For Nintendo Wii and PCInterplay Entertainment and Beamdog finally announced a sequel to MDK. MDK2 is going to be released on the Nintendo Wii and MDK2 HD on Windows-Based PCs.

CEO of Interplay, Herve Caen, said that it is a great pleasure to announce that they are returning to the adventures of Kurt Hectic, Dr. Hawkins and the six legged gun-toting robotic dog Max. Co-Founder of Beamdog stated that MDK2 was a great title to work on and that they are happy to have some of the original team working on these new versions.

Medal of Honor Release DateElectronic Arts Inc. announced today that the legendary war-based first-person shooter titled Medal of Honor is going to launch on the 15th of October, 2010 throughout Europe.

The shipping date will be announced today through an emotionally charged trailer called “Leave a Message”. The trailer will show a United Stated Army Ranger platoon heading into combat on a helicopter. The chaos and uncertainty of the mission is belied by the reassuring voice of one of the Rangers as he reaches out to his family back home.

The Game Continues to Set Retail Sell Records

Activision Blizzard Inc. announced today that Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues to make retails sales crossing the One Billion USD mark worldwide, since its launch in November.

In the first five days of the game’s launch, it sold an estimated 550 million USD worldwide, surpassing five-day worldwide gross figures for such movies as Avatar, Harry Potter and others, according to the internal Activision estimates and box office mojo.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is a modern horror first person shooter developed by Monolith Productions. Published by Vivendi Universal, the game was released in October 2005 for Windows, and was ported for the Sony PlayStation 3 in April 2007 and Xbox 360 in October 2006 by Day 1 Studios. There are two expansion packs for F.E.A.R. released by Timegate Studios, F.E.A.R. – Extraction Point in October 2006 and F.E.A.R. – Perseus Mandate in November 2007. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is the direct sequel of the game and was released in February 2009 by Monolith Productions.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) uses a proprietary engine developed by Monolith Productions, which later on formed a separate company named LithTech INC. to deal with the development of the engine.

Electronic Arts Inc. revealed today that they will release an all-new Medal of Honor in the summer of 2010. The game will introduce the Tier One Operator, which is a unseen force controlled by the National Command Authority, who takes on missions no one else can handle. That’s why the development team has been working with some Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community since the beginning to create a greater modern war experience.

Hellion mystery of the inquisitionFlying Fish Works are presenting their upcoming first person shooter at Game Connection in Lyon from 8th of December to 10th of December. The visitors will have the opportunity to be involved in the terrifying medieval world.

Hellion: Mystery of Inquistion is being developed for the Xbox360, Sony Playstation 3 and PC, and will be available in Q3 2010.

When the players take their hands on the playable demo, they will be able to escort Godric Of Glastonbury (the hero), on a journey to a Cistercian abbey in the medieval England.

Published by Sierra Entertainment, the game was released on the 12th of June, 2001 and was the second expansion pack released for Half-Life.

Half-Life: Blue Shift uses Valve’s GoldSrc engine, which is a heavily modified Quake engine. The game was first announced in the Q2 of 2000 to be released as a Dreamcast port of the original version, but was later canceled, and the final product was brought to the PC.

Half-Life ReviewHalf-Life is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation and it’s the predecessor to the successful Half-Life 2. Published by Sierra Studios, the game was first released in November 1998 for PC and in November 2001 for the Playstation 2 ported by Gearbox Software. Half-Life uses a heavily modified Quake Engine version, which was named “GoldSrc” or “Goldsource”, and was able to render in two application programming interfaces, which are Direct3D and OpenGL. The successor of the GoldSrc engine is the Source engine ran by Half-Life 2. Half-Life won over fifty “Game of the Year” awards since its release, and sold over twenty million copies.
