Ubisoft revealed new details and information about the upcoming release of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for the Nintendo Wii gaming system. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is developed by Ubisoft’s Quebec City Studios and is going to be developed entirely from the ground up for the Nintendo Wii Gaming Console. The game will utilize the potential of the Wii System to the maximum level.

The Forgotten Sands is a chapter of the critically-acclaimed Prince of Persia: Sands of Time series, and will introduce players to a brand new storyline. The game will include new characters and powers that transcend both nature and time.

Ubisoft announced today that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be released in May 2010 for the Xbox 360 home console entertainment system from Microsoft, the Sony PlayStation Portable and Sony PlayStation 3 Console gaming devices, and the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS gaming systems, as well as the Windows-Based Personal Computers (PC).

The Forgotten Sands will feature a new storyline, which takes place between Prince of Persia Warrior Within and Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. The new installment will also feature new powers and new characters.

Ubisoft announced yesterday that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is in development and is going to be released in May 2010 for handheld consoles and home consoles.
