Medal of Honor Release DateElectronic Arts Inc. announced today that the legendary war-based first-person shooter titled Medal of Honor is going to launch on the 15th of October, 2010 throughout Europe.

The shipping date will be announced today through an emotionally charged trailer called “Leave a Message”. The trailer will show a United Stated Army Ranger platoon heading into combat on a helicopter. The chaos and uncertainty of the mission is belied by the reassuring voice of one of the Rangers as he reaches out to his family back home.

Activision Blizzard Inc. announced today that Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues to make retails sales crossing the One Billion USD mark worldwide, since its launch in November.

In the first five days of the game’s launch, it sold an estimated 550 million USD worldwide, surpassing five-day worldwide gross figures for such movies as Avatar, Harry Potter and others, according to the internal Activision estimates and box office mojo.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is a modern horror first person shooter developed by Monolith Productions. Published by Vivendi Universal, the game was released in October 2005 for Windows, and was ported for the Sony PlayStation 3 in April 2007 and Xbox 360 in October 2006 by Day 1 Studios. There are two expansion packs for F.E.A.R. released by Timegate Studios, F.E.A.R. – Extraction Point in October 2006 and F.E.A.R. – Perseus Mandate in November 2007. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is the direct sequel of the game and was released in February 2009 by Monolith Productions.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) uses a proprietary engine developed by Monolith Productions, which later on formed a separate company named LithTech INC. to deal with the development of the engine.

Electronic Arts Inc. revealed today that they will release an all-new Medal of Honor in the summer of 2010. The game will introduce the Tier One Operator, which is a unseen force controlled by the National Command Authority, who takes on missions no one else can handle. That’s why the development team has been working with some Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community since the beginning to create a greater modern war experience.

Half-Life ReviewHalf-Life is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation and it’s the predecessor to the successful Half-Life 2. Published by Sierra Studios, the game was first released in November 1998 for PC and in November 2001 for the Playstation 2 ported by Gearbox Software. Half-Life uses a heavily modified Quake Engine version, which was named “GoldSrc” or “Goldsource”, and was able to render in two application programming interfaces, which are Direct3D and OpenGL.
