The game combines puzzle-orientated elements and role-playing elements to make a unique experience using key elements and characters from the franchise.

The player takes the perspective of the son of Dracula, Alucard. He is also able to choose from a wide range of characters from the Castlevania franchise. The player will have to face challenging puzzles that when completed, will reward him with useful items for upcoming levels.
