Konami Digital Entertainment announced today that the first ever version of Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night is now available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch. The game combines puzzle-orientated elements and role-playing elements to make a unique experience using key elements and characters from the franchise.

The player takes the perspective of the son of Dracula, Alucard. He is also able to choose from a wide range of characters from the Castlevania franchise. The player will have to face challenging puzzles that when completed, will reward him with useful items for upcoming levels.

Ignition Entertainment in Japan is pleased to announce that it has licensed the morpheme animation middleware of NaturalMotion in their recently announced AAA Game entitled “El Shaddai”.

VP Sales of NaturalMotion, Christian Staack, said that they are delighted that Ignition Entertainment have chosen morpheme as they are fully aware of their commitment to creating the most believable animations possible for El Shaddai. He also stated that they look forward to supporting their project throughout its development and eagerly await the game’s debut at E3 in June.

Emergent Game Technologies, a leading provider of 3D game development solutions, announced today a licensing deal with Korean developer Gorilla Banana Entertainment Corp for use of Emergent’s proven Gamebryo engine in their upcoming MMORPG Red Blood.

Red Blood is an epic action game that takes place in a future where companies have perfected a new and improved, genetically-altered human race. Players will choose to join one of four countries – Victoria, Kulitie a Khuril-Tai, Normu a Nomos, and Peiladulia a Phratria – each possessing unique character traits and attributes to utilize.

Konami Digital Entertainment announced that a specially developed version of the classic platformer, Castlevania, will allow fans of the series to relive the Transylvanian castle with new puzzle Role-Playing action.

Entitled Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night, the game will receive a unique style with puzzle role-playing, which will allow the player to take the perspective of Alucard, who is the son of Dracula. Players will also have the option to play as or against characters directly from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
