Call of Duty: Black Ops Will Include Cooperative Zombie Mode

Black Ops Zombie CoopTreyarch announced today that the loved by the World at War community “Cooperative Zombie” game mode will return in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will be released around the world on the 9th of November by Activision Publishing.

The Zombie game modes were introduced in the Call of Duty: World at War game which enabled up to four player cooperative game play and, while it became an instant hit.

Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia said that zombies have been such a hit with their community that they are committed to bringing the brand new zombie experience to Call of Duty: Black Ops.

n-Space to Develop Call of Duty: Black Ops on Nintendo DS

Call of Duty: Black Ops for DSActivision Publishing announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops is in development by n-Space for the Nintendo DS portable gaming device.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS is going to take the handheld Call of Duty experience to a new level,” said Dan O’Leary, n-Space Studio Head. “From taking the controls of an attack helicopter to flying an experimental stealth fighter jet, players will have a wealth of new features to utilize.”

The Nintendo DS version of Call of Duty: Black Ops will feature unique online multiplayer mode with a Perk system, with six player max. A multiplayer online two-player cooperative mode will also be featured, as well as Arcade and Challenge modes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence PackageActivision Publishing announced that the second downloadable map package that contains new multiplayer maps for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 military first-person shooter is now available in North America for the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System and all over the world for Windows-Based Personal Computers.

The downloadable Resurgence map package for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be available today, the 7th of July, 2010, for the Sony PlayStation 3 gaming console in Europe and Australia.

Call of Duty Black Ops Downloadable Content first on Xbox LIVEOne of the leading video game publishers worldwide, Activision Publishing, and Microsoft, announced today that all Call of Duty game add-ons and downloadable content packages will be first released on the Xbox LIVE Online Entertainment Network exclusively, courtesy of the multi-year agreement between the two companies.

The agreement officially began in 2009, and now extends for all downloadable content packages for the mega-blockbuster Call of Duty Franchise throughout the year 2012, which includes Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Activision-iPad-TitlesActivision Publishing revealed today some releases for the iPad that are now available on the Apple App Store. The releases include Geometry Wars: Touch and Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies, and utilize better graphics and faster processing in order to enhance the experience and immerse the player deeper into the non-stop shooter.

In addition to all that, the iPad version of Geometry Wars will exclusively feature a brand new game mode entitled “Titans” added to the classic Deadling, King, Evolved, Pacifism, Waves and Sequence game modes.

For the quarter that ended on the 31st of March, 2010, Activision Blizzard’s GAAP net revenues were one point three billion USD, with its non-GAAP net revenues 714 million USD.

For the quarter that ended on the 31st of March, 2010, Activision Blizzard reported that the GAAP earnings per diluted share were 0.30 USD, and that the company’s non-GAAP earning per diluted share were 0.09 USD.

Second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Downloadable Content PackThe publisher of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 video game hit has announced that a second downloadable content pack for the game is currently planned to arrive in the second half of 2010, which means it will release sometime between July and December.

Activision Blizzard COO Thomas Tippl explained that they plan to release the second map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 while discussing the company’s lineup for the “Black half of the year” during today’s investor conference call.
