A single player downloadable content pack, entitled Minerva’s Den, has been announced today by 2K Games for BioShock 2. This Single-Player DLC will expand the story-line of BioShock 2, while introducing new characters, locations and mystery to the rich world of Rapture.

Minerva’s Den is in development for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as Windows-Based PCs. The player will take the perspective of an all-new character, which has joined forces with Brigid Tenenbaum in order to unravel “a dictator’s stranglehold on a key district in the distinctive city under the sea“

2K Games announced that the highly anticipated sequel to the 2007 Game of the Year, Bioshock 2, is now available through the world for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Windows based systems. Bioshock 2 delivers a single-player and a multi-player game experience that is a highly addictive first-person shooter, following the steps to its predecessor that shipped more than three million copies worldwide.

President of 2K Christoph Hartmann stated that BioShock represented a watershed moment in the gaming industry when it illustrated that games can be viewed as art – both in design and in the rich depth of the narrative.
