Developers of the entertaining games for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and beyond, Republic of Fun, announced the release of Slug Wars: To Shell and Back for iPad. Republic of Fun was able to deliver the critically acclaimed success of their iPhone game, Slug Wars, to the iPad that is playable by up to four users simultaneously.

President of Republic of Fun, Mike Rasmussen, said that this is truly a HUGE step forward for the Slug Wars brand, and that it is a unique game that was built specifically with iPad in mind and has a game play experience that brings real-time four-player game play to the device in a way as yet unrealized.

Slug Wars: To Shell and Back for iPad is the sequel to the popular Slug Wars for iPhone and iPod Touch.  The original version of Slug Wars used troops of slugs to defend home base and destroy the enemies, but the new version “To Shell and Back” is more than just a sequel to the old game; it’s in fact a complete re-invented Slug Wars with new units, towers, game play and a unique storyline created especially for the iPad. Slug Wars: To Shell and Back also provides four-players multiplayer options on huge maps and even more crisp and detailed graphics.
