Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) today announced that the release of their new Motion Controller for the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System is going to be in fall 2010. The New Motion Controller is going to be released in Japan, Asian Countries, North America and Europe/PAL territories together.
This new Motion Controller for the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System will be combined together with the PlayStation Eye Camera 2. It can detect the natural movement of the hand, thus reflecting the precise movement in the game, delivering a whole new stunning entertainment experience on the Sony PlayStation 3 Computer Entertainment System.
President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Kazuo Hirai said that they have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when they will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to the Sony PlayStation 3 users. He also stated that they will continue to work to have a comprehensive portfolio of attractive and innovative games that support the new Motion Controller, not only from SCE Worldwide Studios, but also from the third party developers and publishers, who they have been working with closely. Kazuo Hirai also stated that they really look forward to unveil the exciting software line-up that further expand and define the Sony PlayStation 3 platform as the ultimate entertainment system for the home.
Sony Computer Entertainment will vigorously promote the Motion Controller as the "default" controller of the Sony PlayStation 3 platform along with the DUALSHOCK controllers. They will also deploy various enhancing measures to the software title line-up for the new Motion Controller, which will deliver stunning interactive entertainment only on the Sony PlayStation 3 platform.
