Ubisoft announced today that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be released in May 2010 for the Xbox 360 home console entertainment system from Microsoft, the Sony PlayStation Portable and Sony PlayStation 3 Console gaming devices, and the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS gaming systems, as well as the Windows-Based Personal Computers (PC).
The Forgotten Sands will feature a new storyline, which takes place between Prince of Persia Warrior Within and Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. The new installment will also feature new powers and new characters.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the latest installment and the next chapter in the Sands of Time Universe. The prince finds that the royal palace is under siege from a huge army while visiting his brother's kingdom following his journey in Azad. The prince will discover that the great power comes with a great cost after he decides to use the ancient power of the sand to desperately save the kingdom from total destruction.
The New Title will feature a reinvented classic game play, where the prince has the ability to control time while battling with various enemies and executing acrobatic moves in huge environments. The power of the sands will excel the prince's abilities to unseen possibilities. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will also offer players the ultimate game-play experience made possible by the Award-Winning Anvil Engine. The return of this chapter set between the Sands of Time and Warrior Within will provide a better understanding of the Sands of Time Series
The Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable versions of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands will feature different game-play mechanics from the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Systems. More details and Information will be revealed in the future.
