Developer of innovative location-based social games for major mobile devices, MeanFreePath LLC, announced today that its free Geo-Based iPhone and iPod Touch App titled Turf Wars, has surpassed the 100,000 turf mark only six months after the launch of the application.
Creator of Turf Wars and founder of MeanFreePath LLC., Nick Baicoianu, stated that certain highly populated places such as New York and London have seen a massive influx of turf being claimed in the past couple of months, and the numbers continue to grow on a daily basis. He also stated that there are still lots of turfs to be conquered, so players should get out there and start building their empire.
The game received a honorable mention for both Best Massively Multiplayer Online Game and Best Use of Location Services for the "Best of 2009" awards at 148apps.com.
