Mirror’s Edge is a first-person action-platformer video game, which was developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and was first announced in July 2007. Published by Electronic Arts (EA), the game was released in November 2008 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 home gaming consoles, followed by a PC release in January 2009. Mirror’s Edge is using the Unreal Engine 3 with new enhanced lightning by Illuminate Labs.

Mirror’s Edge is a game never before seen in the history and portfolio of Electronic Arts. DICE are known for their continuous development of their successful Battlefield franchise, and despite that, they decided to depart from it and try to make something fresh in order to spice up the First-Person Genre. That is where Mirror’s Edge comes in.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is a modern horror first person shooter developed by Monolith Productions. Published by Vivendi Universal, the game was released in October 2005 for Windows, and was ported for the Sony PlayStation 3 in April 2007 and Xbox 360 in October 2006 by Day 1 Studios. There are two expansion packs for F.E.A.R. released by Timegate Studios, F.E.A.R. – Extraction Point in October 2006 and F.E.A.R. – Perseus Mandate in November 2007. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is the direct sequel of the game and was released in February 2009 by Monolith Productions.

F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) uses a proprietary engine developed by Monolith Productions, which later on formed a separate company named LithTech INC. to deal with the development of the engine.

Call of Duty 6 – Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Infinity Ward for Playstation 3, Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. Published by Activision, the game was officially announced on 11th of February 2009 and was released worldwide on 10th of November 2009. The game is a direct sequel to – Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare, continuing the same storyline, and is the sixth installment of the Call of Duty Franchise. Modern Warfare was released in relation with two other Call of Duty titles such as Call of Duty – Modern Warfare – Reflex for the Nintendo Wii and Call of Duty – Modern Warfare – Mobilized for the Nintendo DS.

The game is followed by its sequel – Call Of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 and is the fourth installment of the Call of Duty Franchise.
