Nuclear Launch Detected – StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
Blizzard Entertainment announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is now available for purchase around the world.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the sequel to the ’98 hit real-time strategy, StarCraft. StarCraft has been hailed by players around the world as the top real-time strategy game of all time.
“We’ve worked hard to deliver an epic continuation of the StarCraft story line as well as the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game with StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Combined with the next-generation online environment of the new Battle.net, we believe players will agree that StarCraft II offers an experience unlike anything we’ve ever created, and we’re excited to finally be able to share it with them.”
The Electronic Arts Studio, Maxis, announced that its next project is going to be an online sci-fi action rpg entitled, Darkspore. The game is going to combine action and fiction elements, and is expected to launch in February, 2011.
Paradox Interactive announced that Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is going to be available for half the price on Valve’s Steam Platform. The game is also going to be free to play the whole weekend, to give players the ability to take a glimpse into the game.
Activision Publishing announced that James Bond 007: Blood Stone is being developed by Bizzare Creations. It is expected to be an original Bond experience from the legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Award Winning artist Joss Stone will create original music for the game.
A limited edition version of Medal of Honor was announced by Electronic Arts, in which players will get access to the unique weapon, MP7, and also access to the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns from day one. Other players will have to level up in order to unlock those shotguns.
