n-Space to Develop Call of Duty: Black Ops on Nintendo DS

Call of Duty: Black Ops for DSActivision Publishing announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops is in development by n-Space for the Nintendo DS portable gaming device.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS is going to take the handheld Call of Duty experience to a new level,” said Dan O’Leary, n-Space Studio Head. “From taking the controls of an attack helicopter to flying an experimental stealth fighter jet, players will have a wealth of new features to utilize.”

The Nintendo DS version of Call of Duty: Black Ops will feature unique online multiplayer mode with a Perk system, with six player max. A multiplayer online two-player cooperative mode will also be featured, as well as Arcade and Challenge modes.

The game is now available on the Apple App Store for less than a dollar – $0.99.

DarkSpore AnnouncementThe Electronic Arts Studio, Maxis, announced that its next project is going to be an online sci-fi action rpg entitled, Darkspore. The game is going to combine action and fiction elements, and is expected to launch in February, 2011.

“Darkspore is inspired in part by the award-winning creature editor tech of Spore, but also in large part from the team’s own passion for gaming and prior experience,” said Lucy Bradshaw, General Manager of Maxis Studio. “The team has combined these inspirations to produce a unique take on the action RPG genre.”

Electronic Arts Announces Limited Edition Medal of Honor

Medal of Honor Limited EditionA limited edition version of Medal of Honor was announced by Electronic Arts, in which players will get access to the unique weapon, MP7, and also access to the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns from day one. Other players will have to level up in order to unlock those shotguns.

Executive Producer of Medal of Honor, Greg Goodrich, said that access to a weapon like the MP7 will allow players to experience a tool developed with the Special Operations Community in mind. He also said that with is light weight and high rate of fire and its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle.

Dragon Age 2 In DevelopmentThe leading video game developer and studio of Electronic Arts, BioWare, confirmed today the development of Dragon Age 2 at their studio based in Edmonton.

Dragon Age 2 is going to be the sequel to the triple-platinum-selling Dragon Age: Origins which received “RPG of the Year” in 2009 by Game Informer, G4, IGN and SpikeTV. More action and a new responsive combat system with a dynamic storyline will be introduced in the new Dragon Age 2 RPG. Worms 2 DLCTeam 17 announced the release of a new downloadable content package entitled the Worms 2: Armageddon Battle Pack for the Xbox 360 on the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

This feature-packed DLC will come with new weapons, new utilities, and a new single-player campaign with tons of crazy new customization features. The DLC will also come with new achievements and an all-new game mode.

The new Body Count Mode puts the player as a single worm to fight against an army of enemies that never ends with the objective to amass the largest number of kills before being killed. The high-scores will be tracked on an all-new Leaderboard.
