World of Warcraft Cataclysm Release DateBlizzard Entertainment announced the release date of the Cataclysm expansion pack for the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft.

The Expansion pack will be released on the 7th of December, 2010, on a DVD-ROM available for Windows-Based PCs and MACs. The expansion pack, Cataclysm, will also be offered in the online digital Blizzard Store.

The CEO of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime, said that Cataclysm includes the best content they have ever created for World of Warcraft, and that with the help of their beta testers, they are putting the final polish on it.

Batman Arkham CityWarner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announced today the sequel to the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City. The game, Batman: Arkham City, will be released on the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles as well as on Windows-Based PCs in the Autumn of the year 2011.

Batman: Arkham City is going to be developed by Rocksteady Studios, keeping the foundation of the first game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. DarkSpore AnnouncementThe Electronic Arts Studio, Maxis, announced that its next project is going to be an online sci-fi action rpg entitled, Darkspore. The game is going to combine action and fiction elements, and is expected to launch in February, 2011.

“Darkspore is inspired in part by the award-winning creature editor tech of Spore, but also in large part from the team’s own passion for gaming and prior experience,” said Lucy Bradshaw, General Manager of Maxis Studio. “The team has combined these inspirations to produce a unique take on the action RPG genre.”

Dragon Age 2 In DevelopmentThe leading video game developer and studio of Electronic Arts, BioWare, confirmed today the development of Dragon Age 2 at their studio based in Edmonton.

Dragon Age 2 is going to be the sequel to the triple-platinum-selling Dragon Age: Origins which received “RPG of the Year” in 2009 by Game Informer, G4, IGN and SpikeTV. More action and a new responsive combat system with a dynamic storyline will be introduced in the new Dragon Age 2 RPG.
