Xbox 360 sales down
The Xbox 360 has been around for seven years now but it looks as though it is finally losing momentum. Microsoft’s new financial figures show that they have sold a mere 1.4 million Xbox 360 consoles from January to March this year. This is a significant 48 percent drop from this time last year.
Due to this sad fact, revenues for the business behind Xbox, fell by 33 percent to $584 million. Kinect sales are also down, making Xbox Live the only part that is increasing the company profits. Are people moving on to other consoles? Playing on http://www.poker.dk , or perhaps contenting themselves with the games on their phone?
The console that had its début in 2005 has been selling so well for the last few years, that there doesn’t look like there will be a new generation for at least another two years. As such, the falling sales could cause problems for Microsoft, who are already having trouble launching their Windows Phones, that aren’t proving to be popular.
